Malcolm Vismal: Veteran of the Solar Wars. Mentored
as first officer aboard the Providence under the command of Kort Villikon. Criminal Record: He was the true saboteur responsible for framing Villikon of genocide. Personal: Vismal was an opportunist, eager for a command of his own. His lust for power, combined with a long-term affair with his commander's wife, Calista Villikon, fueled him to maliciously conspire with her to frame Villikon for genocide. Vismal relieved Villikon of command, banished him to Itasca, married his wife Calista, gained promotion to Captain, and was given command of the penitentiary class starship, Sepulcher. Vismal never expected Villikon's former mistress, and second officer, Tabina Tanzer, would testify in a second hearing made possible by Calista's father, and Villikon supporter, Vice General Rybolt, which overturned Villikon's guilty verdict. Vismal made sure he was assigned to the rescue mission that freed Kort Villikon, impassioned to destroy him on Itasca. Both Vismal and Calista were mysteriously abducted after Villikon returned home. Villikon classified alleged reports that Vismal and Calista were abducted and abandoned in territories inhabited by Porphyrians on Itasca. (Appears on Page 2 of Book 1) |
