Afognak: Served in the Imperium Forces as a
cartographer. Left the service to take work in the private sector as a
pilot for hire. Personal: Crash-landed the slave vessel Omophore, on the prison world of Itasca. Afognak saved Mystere and her beautiful mother, a PurPuran slave woman named Pria, from the flaming wreckage. He fell in love with her, and the three became a family. Believing Mystere had been killed in a Porphyrian attack, Afognak and Pria found sanctuary in a far region of Itasca. A tribe of penitent convicts had built a paradise and called it the Region of the Green. It was there that Afognak began a new life with Pria, and conceived a daughter named Zandora, after his grandmother. Over the years, Afognak traveled to the crash site of the Omophore, and restored the vessel with parts he'd fashioned with crude planetary resources. Afognak disappeared on his last trip to the Omophore and was killed by Creighton. (Appears on Page 29 of Book 1) |
