"Though not the first time I've traveled
this path, it's the first time I've been comfortable with a vision
to craft within the bounds of this universe I have such affection
for. I've officially bestowed upon director Shian
Storm,
the challenging task of delivering a cinematic incarnation of a story
taking place within the Villikon
Chronicles timeline.
Shian's ambition of a truly genuine and visionary approach to this
project
compliments what I've conjured in my imagination, and promises to
capture the mystical
experience and surreal aspects brought to life by the amazing artwork
of Roy Young.
Nearly ten years have passed since an
original film script titled THE VILLIKON CHRONICLES splashed
into a bonanza of accolades, heralded the graphic novel series,
lithograph posters series,
a drafted screen trilogy, event appearances, and a prequel honoring
its most celebrated character; the warrioress Mystere. Extracted
from
my original screenplay THE CRUCIBLES OF MYSTERE comes THE
VILLIKON CHRONICLES : MYSTERE AND THE CHILDREN OF DIDO. The short
film will be a reverent, correct, and visionary interpretation of the
planet
Itasca,
with respect
to
adapting
the materials to the same standards and original intent published and
known as THE VILLIKON CHRONICLES.
I welcome Shian Storm and the
cast and crew and interns DOD to the Villikon family and expect
great things will follow."

been given the greenlight to direct the first officially sanctioned
"Villikon" inspired project for film. After numerous meetings with
Bryan and Roy, I instantly felt we were heading in the right direction,
a
direction with a singular vision for what this film should be. A film
with a unique vision and purpose. I'm committed to a high quality production
that will portray this wonderful universe in its intended light. I
was
initially awed by the chemistry that occurred between myself and Bryan.
It's the type of creative
chemistry you hear about in great tandems, but rarely ever find. I'm
overjoyed to be collaborating with him on this endeavor.
This film will be something special, I
promise. We'll keep this site updated as we approach and complete each
stage of pre-production and move towards its actual production and release."
